Welcome to the Father’s Heart Orphan Ministries Website!
Father’s Heart, Inc. is a charitable humanitarian aid ministry from Chesapeake, Virginia. Fathers Heart has been founded and operated by David T. Daulton and his wife, Jane E. Daulton. Active advocates of children with special needs for over 30 years, David and Jane have assisted over 1200 people through adoption.
Father’s Heart supports orphanages in Ukraine housing special needs children. Fathers Heart also arranges professional groups to travel to Ukraine orphanages from the United States.
Since 1999, Fathers Heart teams have worked in Ukraine with special needs orphans. These trips provide therapy equipment and wheelchairs, teaching therapy and educational techniques to orphanage staff. Fathers Heart teams also help with repairs and improvements of the orphanage buildings and grounds. These same teams also install therapeutic playground equipment so the children with disabilities can play and exercise with the rest of the children at the orphanages.
Every summer, we arrange a Short Term Mission Trip to Ukraine. This trip includes travel to 4 or 5 orphanages with children with disabilities. During this time, a presentation is made at an International Conference on the Needs of Children with Disabilities.
In addition, we partner with like-minded organizations and individuals to provide opportunities to sponsor orphans in Peru and Ethiopia. We also host Ukrainian orphans for two weeks or more in the summer and again at Christmas. Fathers Heart adopts children from Ukraine orphanages, and provides training and employment opportunities for Ukrainians to work with children with special needs.
The opportunities include work in private home settings, employment settings, state run orphanages, schools, and hospitals.
